Sound Score for tranSTUM exhibition, The Turning - Whisper to the silent earth, Lane Cove Gallery, Sydney, 2022. The work was originally composed as a 1-hour tri-stream audio work, played across three sets of stereo speakers in different locations of the gallery. This recording is a specially composed 20-minute stereo mix of the original work.

The sound score for The Turning: Whisper to the Silent Earth focuses on creating dialogue in musical sound between each of the works, and the spaces they inhabit. It borrows from choral antiphony, whereby alternating responsive voices interact from different locations in a cathedral. Comprising three sound streams, separated, and placed in each space, enables unique variations and serendipity in the immersive audio-visual experience. This indeterminacy allows new confluences of light, refraction, animation, image, and sound to reflect the liminal worlds evoked in the work, and each subsequent experience of the exhibition. Multilocational audio is a central feature of my practice, and The Turning: Whisper to the Silent Earth allowed me to explore these concepts in new and engaging ways.
